Multi-engine helicopter time counts as total time after the 50 hour MEL fixed-wing requirement.

Our hiring team reviews online resumes and applications and invites the most qualified applicants for an interview. During the interview, the applicant will be questioned on judgment, decision making, general aviation knowledge, instrument procedures, weather, AIM, and all FARs. Education, training history, and employment history will be reviewed. The simulator evaluation associated with the interview is normally conducted in a CRJ full motion category “D” simulator, where the applicant must demonstrate basic instrument proficiency, holding procedures, and instrument approach skills.

We recommend a review of the Commercial and ATP test guide questions before attending the interview. In addition, “The Turbine Pilot’s Flight Manual” by Brown and Holt is a great study tool in preparation for the interview. Advanced Jet Training is an excellent preparation for the airline training regime.

Candidates who are successful can anticipate within two to three weeks a notification from the company advising pool status or class date.

Candidates who are unsuccessful must wait up to six months before beginning the application process again. Check with the pilot recruiter for information on a possible quicker re-evaluation.
